HPC Clusters are back online
The Lustre migration is terminated successfully and Matrix and Jazz clusters are back on-line.
We now have a grand total of 230TB of available space. Further details about operations performed on the Lustre filesystem are reported below.
Please note that:
- Files from the old scratch directory, can be found in
/oldscratchavailable on Jazz and Matrix login nodes; take care of copying your valuable files on your/workarea or on the brand new scratch area before the bulldozer sets a definitive end to them. Files will be available until next scheduled stop, on February 15. After that date, our old/scratchstorage will be completely wiped out - The content of
/workhas been copied to the new/workarea, but the directories already set as striped have been copied ignoring these settings. Please set the stripe rules again for the directories you believe worth of. Striping policies need to be set up again even for the new scratch area. Here you may find information about striping
Furthermore, we would like to inform you that, in a few weeks, we will update the software available on Matrix and Jazz clusters, including compilers and libraries. You can access and test the updated software by loading the env/experimental environment module. Please note that the updating work is still in progress, so things can change within the experimental environment and additional updated applications can be added in the next days. If you encounter problems or have suggestions, don’t hesitate to contact us using forums or the mailing list hpc-support@caspur.it.
